Dr. Yang served as educator, deputy head/senior head of Public Service, Exhibition, International Exchanges, and Research departments of Qin Terra-cotta Museum and the Shaanxi History Museum. Yang’s commitment to promoting interdisciplinary exhibitions and to advocating cross-cultural understanding is evidenced through her work organizing ten large-scale themed exhibitions, four English workshops and dozens of international academic activities.

She has published two books, edited six catalogues and more than one hundred essays that communicates her vision and experience with colleagues and the society. Among them, two were the most authoritative, eighteen were listed as CSSCI, and two representatives were awarded both by the state and provincial governments for excellence and creativeness. She also was responsible for the National Social Science Research Program and the International Platform for Lost Cultural Relics of State Administration of Cultural Heritage and Ministry of Public Security.

Yang earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in World History at Wuhan University, and has held many titles of institutes and universities, such as Master Tutor of Shaanxi Normal University, Lanzhou University, Distinguished Research Fellow of Silk Road History and Culture Center of Shaanxi Normal University, Lecture Expert of Provincial Government, Correspondence Expert of National Art Planning and Appraisal Committee. She also is the Standing Secretary of Shaanxi Provincial Museums Association, and the Secretary-General of Chinese Regional Museums Committee of the Chinese Museums Association.

Dr. Yang is the winners of various other distinguished provincial prizes, such as March-Eighth Red-Banner Pacesetter in 2015, Women’s Meritorious Pacesetter, May 1 Labor Medal in 2016, and Representative Party of 13th Provincial Party Congress. She has lectured extensively on museum practice and collections, as well as Silk Road History and Archaeology. In 2016-2017, she gave a series of lectures on museum treasures on CCTV Public Forum.
