Chris brings his creativity and passion for education and leadership to the GLI team. He graduated with a B.F.A. in Film Production from Chapman University with an emphasis in directing and a minor in Leadership and Organizational Studies. While at Chapman, Chris was involved in all aspects of filmmaking including writing, directing, and editing over 10 short films and collaborating with similarly passionate and creative peers on many others. He found a passion for leadership and service and, after a year of freelancing in Los Angeles, Chris applied for and was accepted by Teach For America and was placed to teach in Far Northeast Denver, Colorado. In his two-year service, Chris taught special education math at Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College, where he started the first leadership course for students with specific emotional disabilities. After Teach For America, Chris founded a film program at the Denver School of Science and Technology Stapleton Middle School, where he taught 6 and 7th graders all aspects of creative visual storytelling. He has been a part of the GLI team for over a year and enjoys working with passionate museum leaders from around the world.
